Enabling Automated Assessments for a Supplier

Learn how and when to enable or disable Automated Assessments for a supplier

Automated assessments use Attack Surface Management (ASM) to continuously monitor your supplier's security posture through automated scanning of their digital footprint.

When to Enable Automated Assessments

Enable automated assessments for suppliers where you need:

  • Continuous security monitoring
  • Real-time ASM security scores
  • Automated scanning of their digital infrastructure
  • Comprehensive risk visibility beyond questionnaires

For suppliers where questionnaire-based assessments are sufficient, you can leave ASM disabled.

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can always enable or disable ASM for a supplier based on their risk level and your assessment needs.

Steps to enable or disable Automated Assessments

  1. Navigate to your Supplier List
  2. Click on the supplier you want to enable automated assessments for
  3. On the supplier's detail page, locate the "Supplier info" section
  4. Click on the "Edit" button and toggle "Enable ASM" to activate automated assessments
  5. Save your changes

Once enabled, Ceeyu will begin scanning the supplier's digital footprint and their ASM security score can be included in the overall risk calculation.

Checking ASM Status

You can quickly see which suppliers have automated assessments enabled by checking the "ASM Enabled" column in your supplier list.

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can also filter on the "ASM Enabled" property in the supplier list

Important Notes

  • New suppliers added have ASM disabled by default
  • Suppliers without ASM enabled will not show ASM security scores or scan data
  • Their risk scores will be calculated based on questionnaire assessments only
  • The number of suppliers with ASM enabled is limited by your subscription
