How do we uncover Software used in the digital footprint

Ceeyu scans for software using 2 techniques:

  • First of all, based on the metadata analysis of the files we find in your web applications, we deduce the software used to create the file.
  • Secondly, by analyzing the information obtained from port scanning, we discover the software used to run services on the open ports identified on the IP addresses discovered in the digital fingerprint. Sometimes we're able to identify the version number, sometimes we can simply identify the software, without the version.
